GLOW provides powerful programs for girls by engaging girls in discussions about pre-teen/teen topics such as Body Image, Friendships, Healthy Eating, Physical Activities, Bullying, Positive Self Talk, Leadership, Mindfulness, Wellness and Mental Health. By providing girls a safe environment to share their ideas and opinions, it strengthens their confidence and self-esteem, mental health and encourages them to express themselves more fully and critically think through their behavior and choices. Girls will figure out who they are and learn more about their own values, interests, and talents.All aspects of the program are created to strengthen a girl’s well being, nutritional choices and physical fitness to help them develop a true sense of self.THE GLOW School program empowers girls by providing them with an opportunity to gain self confidence and skills necessary to become effective and influential leaders within their school community.As we know, many girls struggle with issues at school such as bullying & friendship problems that result in negative self talk and poor body image. Girls today are also struggling with mental health issues. The GLOW program offers weekly opportunities for girls to have candid conversations about their struggles and realize they are not alone. These program can be virtual or in person.Each GLOW themes taps into the scaffolding that builds confidence and empowers them to take a stand and lead others girls to do the same.The structure of the GLOW Circle creates a comfortable, safe, non judgemental atmosphere for girls to express their thoughts and feelings.THE GLOW School program also meets the provincial health curriculum objectives.
